Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day

Today’s Valentine’s Day, which we celebrate on February 14th, dates from the 3rd century at the time of the Roman Empire.

Emperor Claudius II. forbade the soldiers to marry, so that they would not be tied to their family, and therefore avoided going to war.

All but one of the priests – called Valentine – obeyed the Emperor’s command. This priest resisted the Emperor’s decision and secretly married young couples in love, which caused him to be executed.

We celebrate love in his honour.

Allora Restaurant offers you a wonderful dinner for Valentine’s Day.

Spend it with people you love and love, with live music and beautiful surroundings.
